Article: What I've Learned From a Lifetime of Homebrewing

I stumbled on an article this morning that, while not groundbreaking, was a succinct and well-written little blurb chronicling the adventures and basic discoveries of a brewer who began 14 years ago. It contains some good tips for new brewers (of which we have had many joining our collective as of late), and a few anecdotes those of us with a few extra gallons under our belts (in more ways than one!
) may nod knowingly in agreement. Again, nothing new, but I always like to hear from those that have made brewing a lifelong passion.

A great article, thanks. I agree that there is nothing new there for me, but reading ideas and conclusions in a well written form helps crystallize them. Some of my recent lessons are right there. (I still have half a batch of pumpkin ale. Next year I'll only make half.) I also like the idea of bottling half a batch and kegging half.

I think this would make a pretty cool discussion thread.

Oh no, I don't pay any attention to my water profile other than using bottled "spring" water.
