Greetings!
Hello-
Some people may recognize my username from the Mr. Beer Forum. I've gained a lot of knowledge there, and helped a few people even less experienced than I (a frightening thought). I've made a few great beers with Mr. Beer (and other) products and I'm getting bolder with trying stuff on my own. Within the next few days I plan to make a batch using commercial LME and hops I grew, a definite first for me. If all goes well it will be a fairly average IPA, giving me a baseline for future adjustments.
Peter

Re: Greetings!
Welcome here! Your tips from the old forum helped me get started. I still hope MrB gets that place sorted out, they still pull in new brewers and new brewers deserve good beer.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
