Hey. New member. I got into homebrewing with the Mr. Beer brewing system, and was directed to this site via a BrewDemon flyer.

I have two modified Mr. Beer brew kegs that I use, as well as a Party Pig system for "kegging." I brew for me, and use extracts mainly for convenience. I prefer maltier brews for various reasons (mainly issues with indigestion with heavily-hopped brews). IPAs are sort of off my menu.

I'm getting back into brewing because I'm sick and tired of every store only carrying craft brews that have a three-digit IBU rating. If you like that, good for you. I can't drink it.

Welcome to the Borg. I do love IPA's but I also like many other styles. That's the beauty of homebrewing. You pay for it, brew it, you get to drink it. Good on ya.
Enjoy yourself!

Hi Jpotts, welcome aboard!
There are styles that don't agree with my stomach either, but there's definitely a beer for every tongue.

Hey there Potts. I like a good strong IPA, but in the summer, I’m after a good Kolsch, Czech Pils or even a cream ale. Home brewing allows me to stick up on those without killing the wallet! Welcome to the Borg.

Hi all,
My daughter gave me the 1 gallon Brew Demon kit for Christmas. I made two batches (the IPA and the oatmeal stout) and I was hooked. I then moved up to the two gallon kit and have brewed the Dopplebok and Irish Stout recipes from Brew Demon. It has been a lot of fun. Look forward to continuing this great hobby and learning more about It.

Thanks,

Good evening! My name is Chris, I live in South Florida and found this site via the mentioned flyer in my BrewDemon. I have been brewing for 10 years now, primarily from extract, and I've made many different styles of beer. I bought the BrewDemon as we have downsized to an apartment, and I wanted to see how this kit performs vs my bulky 20 gallon pot, the dual burner gas stove, brewing buckets and carboys. I am starting with a cider, as I have never done one and it's hot as hell here already, so why not a refreshing cider? I look forward to learning more from all of you, and possibly getting back in to larger scale home brewing!

Hi Chris, and welcome.
I've not made a cider but I'm always open to new things. Keep us updated on how it goes.
