Just one more reason to love my daughter

Post by FedoraDave »

Well, two, actually. She texted me yesterday morning to tell me she was bopping around listening to ragtime music, and it made her think of me (I fell in love with ragtime when The Sting came out, and it's the main reason I regret losing my piano playing chops over the years).

The second, though, is really epic. She texted me again last night with two photos of a bunch of classic European beer coasters her future father-in-law gave them from some of his trips to Europe. She wanted to know if I'd be interested in them for my latest ManCave decorating project. That was so thoughtful of her, and I know these will make a great addition to my decor.

So she's not only beautiful, smart, funny, quick-witted, well-read, and cultured, she's considerate regarding her Old Man's weird obsession.

That's great Dave! I have one of those too. (A wonderful daughter, not an old coaster) She got me started brewing with MrB, and feeds the obsession with magazine subscriptions, even texting me about beers she tries.

Never mind, there it is.

Obviously she gets it all from her mom because you've not demonstrated any of those qualities here on the Borg! ;-) :fedora:

ALWAYS good to keep those things in the family. Sounds like a very thoughtful daughter.

She's awesome; not just because of all the things you mentioned but also because she must have finally learned how to pics to the Borg.

I have the pics on my phone, and can't figure out how to load them to Photobukkit and from thence to the Borg. Maybe I'll ask The Bhoy-o if he can figure it out.

In any case, they're moving into a new apartment soon, which is how she discovered these coasters, and we're going to visit February 8 to see their new digs, bring them the Christmas presents they stashed with us, and to pick up these coasters, so yes, I will eventually post pics to the Borg. And when I get the coasters mounted, framed and hung, I'll post those pics, too!
