Everything was perfect until the very end!

I brewed my Epic Blizzard IPA today. It was a partial mash using Munich, a little Crystal and Pilsner LME. I hop burst three hops: Amarillo,Cascade and Simcoe. It's so cold now that I easily chilled down to pitching temperature.
I'm using a 5 gallon bucket for a 4 gallon batch and was worried that the krausen would be to much for the volume of the bucket.I added Fermcap almost as an after thought as the last thing I did before moving it to the mini fridge. I put three or four drops in and the entire medicine dropper fell into the bucket!
I'm hoping that the US-05 will overcome whatever was on that dropper.

That's a shame. That sounds like a great recipe, too. Nothing to do now but RDWHAHB and hope for the best.

OOPS! You'll know in a few weeks! I have never used fermcap.

Ouch! I've made similar mistakes. Once it was alright, another time not. If it's good you can call it eyedropper IPA. Or " I dropped 'er IPA"!

One thing you might want to try is either an extended fermation, secondary, or cold crash to get it to floc out. Otherwise, probably the worst that will happen is the head retention wont be the bestest.

I only put three drops of Fermcap in the fermenter. What happened is the dropper fell out of my hand into the batch. I think it will be contaminated.

Probably not. It likely will be fine.

I wouldn't sweat it. Many a brewer has dropped (worse) things into their wort.

Nah, given time imho it should floc out. Only one way to find out, eh?

I hope so. I'm really forward to this IPA. It will be the first in my keg.

Well, it's out of your hands at this point. Give it a little more time and RDWHAHB. Fretting about it will only disturb your sleep and your digestion, and it won't help the beer any.

I think it was out of his hands when he dropped it...

This thread is starting to resemble the kids telephone game where one person whispers the same information into their neighbors ear while standing in line.
Person number one and the last person in line usually will have totally dfferent facts to tell.
