You see that Starbucks will be offering coconut milk as an option with coffee, and think "I wonder if that would work in beer". (Not sure that it would, but a fun observation nevertheless.)

I've actually considered it but fat and beer don't mix, so it's probably a bad idea. But yes, thinking about it makes you a home brewer for sure.

I think toasting some dried coconut flakes in a pan to render out as much of the fat as is possible and then tossing those in might work. I will try that one day.

You have more pictures of your beer and brewing gear than your family.

You find that in every store you go to, be it a home improvement store or department store, you evaluate all the items on the all the shelves for their beer making potential.

You are a brewer so you know you are a brewer but you click on a thread titled " You know you're a brewer when..." anyway.

Sure glad there wasn't something here to show that I was, in fact, NOT a brewer.

You know you're a homebrewer when you wash 48 bottles on Tuesday, then 48 bottles on Wednesday, and are excited to be washing 48 bottles on Thursday...

You know you're a homebrewer when you post on Facebook that you'd like your friends to collect bottles for you, and go into laborious details about the type of bottles you'll accept.
