We're used to cold, snow and ice up here, this morning got in my car for work temp was -11, but those of you that don't usually get the freezing rain, snow and ice, be extremely careful the next couple days, I've seen where Roanoke and Nashville are expecting around 6" of snow, the Atlanta area has pre-treated their roadways for freezing rain and sleet.

Just overcast right now, nothing falling and the temperature is just above freezing. We will just hunker down for a few days if anything happens.

63 now and we'll stay west of most of this nasty stuff.
Might get near freezing a few nights but we've missed this one.

We have been having frost quakes since Thursday or Friday when overnite temps dropped below zero and daytime temps weren't much higher, sounds like someone drove into the side of the house! Definitely catches your attention.

Started freezing rain last night here in northern Oklahoma. Woke up to 2-3 in. of snow. Can't say I look forward to getting out (lived in Va. and Ill. a few years can drive but the people here can't) I need to get grandson back to Mommy this afternoon so it must be done. I'll just get in the 4x4 pick-up and go slow and watch for all those crazies out there.

Good news, bad news for Michigan.
Good news: It is too freaking cold to snow (negative nine).

I can't even fathom those temps. It's 80 this weekend. Yeah, I'm in California but these temps are crazy even for us. No rain, and the drought is getting worse.
January was coined June-uary and now February is being called Fry-uary.
At least it's not as hot as Phoenix was recently....this should be good for a laugh if you haven't seen it. The weatherman covers superbly!

Right now in Central Ohio, it's snowing. 8 degrees, feels like -6 with the windchill. I'm tired of it. I can't wait for it to warm up so I can have an enjoyably warm brew day then relax on the porch and watch my daughter play.

I brewed in 72 degree weather and this is not normal for us at all this time of year. It's windy too and rain is coming with cooler weather. The high tomorrow is only going to be 45 so that's quite a difference.
But, I took advantage of 2 nice days in a row and brewed and got 'er done.

YUK Swen, that is worse than 6" of snow! Nothing like being laminated in ice!

And it keeps coming. Sleet and freezing rain, which started at 3am expected for the next 5 hours or so...

Wow, just Wow!
Here in my part of Virginia it's 16° at the moment with heavy snow.
We're expecting upwards of 14" before morning.
Our average high this time of year is around 50°.
Oh, Thursday and Thursday night we are expecting a high of 20° and a low of -10°, which if it comes to
fruition, will be the coldest I've personally experienced and one of the coldest
on record for our city. I walked to school one morning my junior year in -7°.
The forecast has been taking it lower each day, and I have seen
a forecast of -14°.
This is truly record breaking stuff for us right now. I know we're wussies
compared to our northern brethren, but come summer time it turns the other
way!
Luckily, the wind is light, so there is a minimal risk of a power failure.
Worst part of this whole soliloquy is, SWMBO and myself were supposed to be on a cruise in the Caribbean this week!
She had to have thumb surgery in December and couldn't get more time off for the trip!
She's fine but the weather sucks! LOL!!
Figures!
Good luck my other Southern brethren! Stay warm and drive carefully!
