Party today, ashes tomorrow. It's a thin line we walk so if you can get out and party, do so.
Me, I'm not doing much as I've done the 'thing' for too many years. Just going to visit my mom, eat too much king cake and muffelettas and have a 10 Year IPA that I took back from Nashville.

We don't do Mardi Gras here in the frigid Detroit area, we Celebrate Paczki Day! Pronounced Poonch-Key. If you don't know a Paczki is of Polish origin and it's basically a jelly or custard filled doughnut on steroids.

I used to work with a woman that brought me a box or two of paczki for helping her department out so much. She has a relative that made them with traditional prune, rosehip and powidl fillings. They were so good.
