Just bought a spout that goes directly on the keg with a quick disconnect ball lock connection. There is no tubing at all. What pressure should I use if I am attaching directly to the keg with no tubing for serving ?

I don't know. But an old BYO article suggests starting at very low pressure and turning it up until you get a proper pour. Let me know how that thing works out, they interest me.

I'd start out low, like 4-5psi and see how it works out.

FWIW, the little mini CO2 injector/regulator they recommend to go along with this goes from 7-21 PSI.

So maybe if what Screwy suggested isn't enough, maybe try 7.

They sell some other super cheap mini injector, but it has no regulation, so who the heck knows what that would do, I'm referring to the more 5x more $pendy version.

I'm using it in my minifridge along with my 5 lbs Co2 tank. I don't have kegerator yet and am using the easiest way I could think if to dispense beer from the keg,

Banjo, I use my kegs in the minifridge with picnic taps. Which is why I'm interested in your product. I think they list it on Amazon, you might try asking a question there.

I bought it on Amazon John. I was just trying to get an idea of where to start. It seems like 5 #s might be good starting point.
The thing that got me interested on this product is that I could use my mini fridge and quickly connect a tap without worrying about cleaning lines or how long or cold they are.
I used it once and it worked pretty well. I think the pressure was 5-7 lbs. The faucet itself seems a little cheap but it is really easy to clean and attach to a keg. I'm going to try again tonight. I'll report back.

I just poured two glasses. The first was at 5 lbs and was almost all foam. This was the first pour off of this keg.
The second pour was at 1.5 lbs and was perfect. I disconnected the ball lock that held the quick disconnect faucet and ran the whole thing under hot water and I'm ready to go for the next time.
I think it's a winner.

Thats exactly what I did. I bled it off and poured.
I just finished bottling from the keg so that I could bring a six of an IPA that I brewed to my son. One of my tubes fit perfectly inside that spout of the faucet. I lost about 6 ounces of beer in the bottling process. I'm going to figure that part out. So far I'm happy.

Do I need to raise the psi back to 12 to maintain the carb level?

Yes you do need to raise it back to maintain proper carbonation. The CO2 will come out of suspension into the head space until it equals out. I bottle from the keg with a picnic tap and bottling wand. At least till I get the Blichman Beergun, that is my next toy.

Yep yep. Once you drop the pressure to dispense you need to crank it back up to maintain your carb level. Just giving a +1 to Dawg's answer.
