Local brewery burned down!

About two weeks ago, a brewery less than 10 miles from me burned to the ground 
It was somewhat of a staple in the local community, being one of the biggest restaurants in a small town of about 5,000 people. It's been pretty sad to read their updates and learn that they were under-insured and are not sure if they can rebuild. There has been a lot of talk from the community about donating goods and services to help them rebuild and talks about a crowd-funding effort to help offset costs. Time will tell what will happen.
They also had/have a satellite cafe (owned by different people but affiliated) about 15 miles in the other direction (in Santa Cruz) where they dispensed their beer and serve awesome food like deep fried avocado fries (yum!): https://www.facebook.com/surfridercafe
Side note, they just added this to the menu:
Crispy tater tots covered in cheddar and jack cheese, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, grilled pineapple and green onions and baked to perfection.
Two cool things have happened in last two weeks:
1) The staff at SurfRider have offered to split their shifts with the now out of work staff from the brewery. Wow! That's just crazy-kind given how some people are struggling to survive right now.
2) Sierra Nevada stepped in and offered to brew a collaboration with them. Here's what they posted:
"OK Here's some good news.
Sierra Nevada Brewery reached out to us earlier in the week and offered to brew a collaboration beer with Boulder Creek Brewing Co!
Beer should be available for our music festival. Santa Cruz Mountain SOL .
The brewers and I met with Sierra Nevada reps at the Crepe place yesterday.
And it all looks to be go!
We think it's really amazing that a large company like this has reached in such a way.
And thanks to all the locals that helped make this happen! Brad Lyman, Eric Silverman, Adam & Eric (owners of the crepe place), Michael Horne, Tim Frankel and of course the owners of SN the Grossman family."
Both acts have shown a tremendous amount of support and community both within our local area and within the brewing community.
I don't know what will happen long-term, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them back up and running in the next year with a lot of help from the local community and other local brewers.
There is still good out there. Given the chance, it sometimes shines through.
