Premature Hopulation

I create my recipes weeks or months in advance so I know I'll have enough goods to brew with. With Pliny this weekend and Chupacabra Charlie to follow, I wanted to make sure I had enough to brew a third batch. In comes Premature Hopulation. I'm continuing my use of lots of hops with late additions and dry hops. I pretty much have this down like I want it and know it's what I like to drink. And, as is 90% of what I brew, it's an IPA.
The stout portion will come soon enough.
Yeast isn't shown but I'll likely use 001 for this one.

I realized I had 1 ingredient wrong. The Munich comes out and is replaced with White Wheat. But between now and then, things may change.
Much depends on how I feel at the time I brew.

I like the change from Munich to white wheat. There are a lot of commercial IPA's that use wheat these days.

And where do you come up with these names. I thought Chupacabra Charlie took the cake.....now we have Premature Hopulation. Well done....Too bad you weren't a graphic artist, cause these would make awesome labels.

I actually usually come up with the name before the recipe (most of the time). Most Wednesday nights we have a jam night with my twin and a couple and have a nice dinner, enjoy some homebrew and craft beers and play a little music. Of course, we discuss beer all the time. Someone may say something funny or silly or nasty and my sick mind goes for it.
Chupacabra was based on a conversation a few Sunday's ago when I had another 'beer summit' or 'Beer-BBQ summit' at my house.....where I brew in the morning and invite friends over to BBQ and share beer and just chillax. We talk about many things....God, science, life and death and sports. Whatever.....but, I'm a sicko so I things pop in my mind and it clicks (or doesn't).

Read the hop schedule and had a slight accident in my shorts :jumpy: Please make sure the wind is blowing East when you brew it.
