I received an email from them a few days ago that has some great deals on the 2013 hop crop. The link below is for Saphir, one of my favs.

Here are some of the ones from the 2013 crop on sale:
Last week we did a special on over contracted Hallertau Mittlefrue for $9.49. We have put a few more over contracted varieties on sale including: 2014 Golding ($11.99), 2013 Sorachi Ace ($12.99), 2013 Ger Saphir ($9.99) and we still have the UK Cascade and Ger. Magnum on special as well!

I will be there Friday morning, drive right thru Janesville, stopping in for a "brief" shopping trip on our way to Madison, WI. for youngest grand daughter's B-Day.

Got excited until I saw it was US Goldings, not East Kent Goldings. I use EKG a lot, never used US but know they are not the same.

I made a chart of the hops I use in my regular recipes - EKG, Fuggle, Hallertau, Northern, Willamette. AIH charges $1.99 per ounces for them, they do have some hops that are higher, but I've rarely used them. Every time I check, Farmhouse has only 1 or 2 of them in stock.

While Farmhouse prices are lower, especially if I buy by the pound, rarely do they have inventory on what I need. Right now EKG and Willamette are out of stock, Fuggle is only available in 4 oz packets, they don't have basic Hallertau, and Northern is only German, no U.S. With shipping it doesn't make much of a difference for me. I'd love to be able to buy a pound of a few of them, if they had inventory.

Spent an hour and spent $75, picked up a couple more fittings I shorted myself on that he carries and 12 oz hops 1) nugget, 1) mosaic and 1) simcoe 4oz packs. Sat and BS with the owner for bout 45 minutes to see if Gman20 was going to drop in then at checkout dropped a name, Beerlord, he says yep I know that name, then mention the good rep they get from the Borg and he hands me one of their can style glasses. Nice guy, will get more of my business.

I don't know how they'd know me from Beerlord as I don't use that name when ordering. But I really do like them and they get the bulk of my hop biz.

Didn't drop BL on him, dropped your name. He was telling me that he is going thru 200+ lbs of hops a week.

Nope, only used it a few times but don't have any. But your hop-mind tricks won't work on me.
