When I bought my kegorator around 2 years ago it was around $629 on sale, after shipping I paid just a little under $800 for it. The Beverage Factory no long sells this model.

As you can see it is the SBC500B

Look what it is selling for on Amazon now:

I was looking at the schematic and I think I am going to take the controller out and splice the two wires to it together to make the compressor run all the time, then I am going to buy a lit digital Johnson Controller so I can actually see the thing and get more precise adjustments. I am going to hang the Johnson Controller on the wall behind the kegorator.

Good job. That's quite a difference in price.

Me, I assembled mine from components. It seemed like the best option for me, and I don't regret it. Brewer's choice, obviously, and as long as we're both getting fresh home brewed beer on tap, it's a win all around.

Building your own is a far better way to go. If I was a better do it yourselfer I would have bought a 7ft deep freeze which would have left me more room to expand than what I have.

I spent another $90 to buy a twin tap tower with Perlic faucets. Now I am thinking about going with a triple tower adapter.
