We should hook up and share some homebrews or crafts.

Definitely, though it'll have to be after Halloween. This weekend is my last hoorah until then, have to get back on the exercise/weight loss regiment again for a couple of months. Doing my 2nd Tough Mudder on Oct. 12 and SUPPOSED to be doing a marathon on Oct. 27. We'll see, but until then no more beer outside of testing batches... :(

On an unrelated note - spur of the moment the wife and I hit Captain Lawrence on Friday for some brew. They changed the tasting room since I was last there 4ish months ago. Last time it was buy a tasting glass for $2 drink as much as you want from 4-7. They now charge the same $2 for the glass, then you buy tokens for the tastings, $5 for 5 tokens and $10 for 12 tokens. Each token gets you one sample glass. We did 17 tokens for $15 bucks and started off with a 12 ounce glass each ($4 or $5 depending on the beer). The 17 tokens were more than enough for the 2 of us to taste them all. All in all wasn't as impressed with the brews as the last time I was there. They did however have their pumpkin ale on tap which was 'ok', and a special batch - 'Area 51' - which was a spiced amber ale. The Area 51 was quite good, as a matter of fact tasted like a pumpkin ale and was better than their pumpkin...

We were going to hit Defiant on the way home but decided that wouldn't be prudent...

Captain Lawrence is in Pleasantville, NY. Their beers are available at some locations, at least here in Rockland County.

Funny thing too...pricing anomaly. A the brewery a sixer is like $11, at 2 local liquor stores to me $10 and $8.
