Kegerator with removable spigots

I need to start keeping my kegs in an easy to serve from kegerator. The problem is I can't leave my beer in an easy to reach or visible place. I have issues with under aged kids who will drink the beer if it is left out.

I also have students who come my house for lessons and I don't think it looks professional to have kegerator on open display. I need to keep the kegerator near where my students will see it because that is the only space available.

I have a quick disconnect tap that I would like to mount on my mini fridge door. I'm trying to figure out a way to have a connection outside the door that I can just snap my quick disconnect tap on to and when I'm done I could just disconnect it.

I was thinking a ball lock male connection ( the one that is on the keg ) mounted to the outside of my fridge door would be the answer. Is there a way to do this?

Here is the tap: http://www.morebeer.com/products/faucet ... oCkuHw_wcB

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is anyone else thinking "kegerator in a piano body"?

Do you already have a kegerator that you are looking to modify or will you be putting something together from scratch? I use a full size fridge that can store 3 kegs and I have my taps on the inside of the fridge. I didn't want to drill through the front of this particular fridge to mount taps. Or maybe you could build a cabinet of sorts that would sit on top of the kegerator where you wouldn't see the tap and know it's a kegerator. Also, it sounds funny but there are tap locks. Just trying to throw out some ideas.

The tap lock would solve the beer theft problem.
I was thinking of putting together a fridge with the taps inside and locking it from the outside as my last option. If I go that route I'll probably make a combination fermentation and kegerator in a side by side fridge. I only need room for two 2.5 gallon kegs and the co2 tank..

I don't really want to buy a new side by side and getting one on Craig's list is hard because I don't have a truck to move it here. The side by side does seem like a good option if I can get one with analog controls and move it here.

Hanging a hat on it is actually not a bad idea!. I could just try to disguise the kegerator as something else.

Disconnecting taps/lines every time you want to use it seems like more trouble than any thing else. How would a side by side double as a fermentation fridge when you are storing kegs of beer for dispensing on the other side?

Every side by side I've seen is a freezer on one side and a fridge on the other, and any controls are the freezer supplying cold air to the fridge. Therefore, you can't maintain kegerator temps AND maintain fermentation temps, i.e. can't have 37 on one side and 65 on the other.

Check out this thread. It is possible. It's a fairly involved project but it's been done.

Get a tap lock so it can't be opened without unlocking. Than when you have lessons throw a sheet or table cloth over it.

That's the way I should do it. The obvious answer is usually best I think.

Hang a hat on it.
I resemble that remark!
