Two weeks in a row...

... I've been able to brew. Today, despite 91* temps, 60%+ humidity and full on sun I along with 11 other brewers brewed at our LHBS and we ended up brewing 12 batches of about 75 gallons of beer. I brewing a White House Honey Porter AG BIAB. It was a fun day and I met a few new brewers that had only started brewing. One guy was on his second brew ever and for another one it was his first brew ever.

One of the incentives for people to brew today was 50% all brewing ingredients so my recipe was only $20. Some people brewed 10 gallon AG batches and spent as little as $40.

I think most people brewed all grain batches but there were several that brewed extract, also there were some pretty interesting brewing rigs including a AG brewing structure using a latter as as the base complete with supports for the mash tun, sparge water and pumps to move the water/wort. Another was a single tier brew structure similar to D_rabbit's but this one had a Hop Rocket that was used to infuse hops as the wort is cooled and moved to the fermenter. Very interesting. Yet another brewing rig was the Blichmann Tower of Power complete with all the bells and whistles. The owner of which had never brewed before. All in all it was an interesting day and I believe that I convinced a few people that BIAB can make some pretty damn good beer without all the muss and fuss. From flame on to fermenter was 3 hours and I was packed and ready to leave 20 minutes after that. So not a bad day for brewing. :fedora:

Guess what! They all make beer!

Been reading up on Blichmann Brew Easy and would love it but it'll never happen. A guy can dream though.

Looked like a perfect day except for the temps.

It's great to see a guy that runs a brewing forum getting a chance to brew again. That's a lot of different beer making set ups. Is the guy with the ladder running a water pump with that drill, sending water up to the HLT?

Like Beer-lord said, it's hot brewing weather everywhere. Got up to 95 here yesterday.

Yes, it really is a pretty creative setup.

Also I already have the grains, hops, and yeast for my next batch and since I'm off work this week I plan to brew again before next weekend.

I find all the different types of brewing rigs fascinating. Whatever works for each individual brewer, though. And you're right; they all make beer, and that's the important thing.

It's hot at Fedora Brauhaus, too, but I'm brewing a Cream Ale today. Just added the first hop addition and taking a break from the hot kitchen to peruse the Borg until the next hop addition.

Ditto. Brewers seem to be a creative bunch. Whatever it takes to make beer, right? [emoji1]
