Very Low mash efffidiency

How the hell do you go from 75% efficiency to 55%
Didn't do anything different
Thought everything was going good

What was the recipe? Sometimes that can have an effect. If you are doing a wheat than I have seen some significant drops with batches that don't mash well if you don't use rice hulls. If you get them from a LHBS than also check with them. Maybe someone messed with the gap on the grain mill which could cause the issue too.

Something is different, but we need more information to figure this out.
Do you now have 6 gallons of beer instead of 5. Where are you getting you % numbers from, type a wrong # in to BeerSmith (it's been done before :whistle: that was a head scratcher for a few minutes).
