MRBEERFANS Refugee

Hello all! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Ray I'm from the Suburbs of Pittsburgh. I started brewing with a Mr. Beer kit the kids bought me for Christmas of 2011. It was Horrible beer. I was intrigued by the idea of making my own beer but didn't do much until Christmas of the next year(2012) when the kids got me a refill of the same west coast pale ale from the previous year. As soon as I seen it I thought to myself, there has to be a way to make this better. That's when the addiction started! I searched the Internet and found mrbeerfans.com. The fellas there helped me out with that nasty WCPA and it turned out great! It was on from that point. The guys at MRBEERFANS helped me learn all I have learned so far. I now brew all-grain, keg, have a dedicated brewing area in the basement, have a three tap keg system and so on. Thanks to all of those fellas for their wisdom and knowledge. I'm hoping this forum is just as enthusiastic to welcome me and help me learn as I did at MRBEERFANS. I would love to share with you all the knowledge I have picked up along the way as well.

Hi Ramon, we pretty much all have similar stories. The desire for better beer is what keeps us going. Our stories are pretty much the same meaning Mr. Beer helped many of us get started.
We have a large number of folks at the advance AG level but a good mix of all types of brewers and we share and help each other with no chips on our shoulder.
We all look forward to sharing what we know with each other and take this forum to the next level.
