Total newbie to the hobby. Started with a mr beer kit I bought for 5 bucks(which I had found on the beach fishing) at a garage sale. First batch came out OK but sorta flat . Yeast was good but old. Second batch was a partial mash pilsner lager purchased from Island Brewing supply in the Bronx NY. Fermented and lagered for 5 months. Came out brilliant.

I know it's not what you meant, but I read that and imagined an LBK in a beach chair with a fishing pole.

Reelfire we're always happy to welcome a new brewer to the collective. Pull up a barstool and grab a beer and make yourself at home.

Welcome! Glad to see you made it over here. Rich and I are here whenever you decide you're ready to brew your next batch.
I'd be working on updating our website right now, but instead I'm working on archiving all of my recipes on the Mr. Beer Fans site...I'm only up to 2011!

Why are you doing the old ones? The Wayback machine has everything through the end of 2014. If I we're you, I'd start with 1/1/2015.
