Is it a violation to?

one of the local sports radio guys in Philly has people call in to ask if something in life is a violation. Of which he answers the question with his opinion. I have a lot of laughs listening to his explanations and of course some of the questions that come up. the subjects can go anywhere. Just for fun maybe you guys want to play? I'm thinking maybe go ahead and ask your question, then the guy who answers can post his own questions. So if you want to play; here is my question:

Is it a violation to boil 50 ears of corn for the freezer in your brew kettle? My wife says no! I say it is... opinions? :dunno:

regards, Ed B.

Well Ed, I think there are 2 opportunities for violation in your post, but only one actually qualifies.

First, I'm not a guy so apparently I'm already in violation of the game.

Second, and in answering your primary question, I repurpose a lot of things to use in making beer. So it can go both ways, and as long as you can get it squeaky clean I vote NO VIOLATION! In fact I think you get extra points if you can serve your corn with a bottle or glass of good homebrew.

NO VIOLATION...cause I'm going to to it in a week or two also. I'm just gonna dump some PBW in and let that sit....can't be any worse than boiling a bunch of sugary wort in it.

My, bad alb ... of course ladies can play too... What was I thinking.

I do like and accept your answer as fair and sensible. The corn will go in the kettle.

Your turn if you like...

Just brew a cream ale afterwards and all will be good.

Wasn't one of the rules of the game that the person who answers is supposed to ask their own violation question?

Is this a violation?

I say it is a total violation. Can't let the wife get in the habit of using your brewing equipment for just anything!

Corn gets put in beer all the time so I guess she wins this round but absolutely draw the line at clam sauce.

I'll get it moving again:

Today at work they lunch they provided was mashed potatoes and meatloaf. They always provide a vegetarian offering as well so they made meatloaf out of garbanzo beans.

Calling garbanzo beans meatloaf......is THAT a violation?

I'd have eaten the Garbonzo bean stuff. But I would still call it a violation, unless they label it as "Veggie Loaf".

Without a doubt that is a violation. Replacing any type of meat with a vegetable substitute will be a violation in my book every day of the week until I die!

Next one......

A linebacker punched Geno smith in the face yesterday (while in the locker room and broke his jaw, out 4-6 weeks) because Geno hadn't reimbursed him yet $600 for a charity event Geno smith no call no showed for. Smith had a family issue where his brother was in the hospital. The Jets immediately released the linebacker from the team. Violation on the Jets for releasing and/or the linebacker for his reaction?
