Re: The dumbest beer article ever
For some reason, I can't see it. But the title alone is dumb. Who says lagers don't taste good? I've consumed and brewed many tasty and yummy lagers. Have a pint of my Copperbottom Lager and tell me it doesn't taste good, and meanwhile I'll go call the men in white coats.

Basically it claimed that the reason BMC only tasted good ice cold is because they are a lager, and lagers have no flavor.
(as if you know... good German beer with plenty of flavor that tastes great at warmer temperatures isn't a lager).
So to counter act that they were coming up with new fangled lager yeast strains that make flavors like cloves, or other phenols/esters. As in all the things folks try to avoid when brewing lagers.
Because you know you have to call it a LAGER to get 'Mericans to drink it if you are BMC.
If you used wheat beer yeast then they would not even try it just because.
That's it in a nutshell.

Meh... One of the best beers I've ever made was a pumpkin lager. (And it wasn't even AG)
