A sad brewer's poem

Post by Kealia »

(To the rhythm of Night Before Christmas)

'Twas the night before Monday, and in the beer fridge,
There was no homebrew, not even a smidge

No bottles were lined up, placed with such care,
Both shelves - top and bottom - simply were bare,

No brewing had taken place, as I had been slacking,
I needed to brew, and I had to get cracking!

When all of a sudden, I was hit like a brick,
I needed supplies, and I needed them quick!
Not only that, I needed a plan,
So I thought of some beers of which I was a fan

I created 2 recipes, 1 new and 1 old,
Some hops were old favorites, others were new and were bold,
I typed in the grains, the hops and the yeast,
One would be Pacman, which works like a beast,

Beersmith was my ally, capturing details,
BlackDuck's grain bill was the base, 'cuz it never fails,
I changed up the hops and the schedule to mine,
Now I'm anxious to brew, all I need now is the time,

I'm a little bit stressed out, with (almost) nothing to drink,
I started to panic, I started to think,
What about St. Nick? And what would the Borg do?
"Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew!"

Ok, some of those rhymes may be more Dr. Seuss but I never claimed to be a poet - sue me.

That's pretty good. Now we need the 'full' version with it being narrated with your voice so we can scare ourselves into brewing before we run out.
