Is it Turbo Yeast

I was wondering if the yeast that ships with the Brew Demon brew kits is some sort of turbo yeast? I'm brewing the Hellfire Deep Red Ale and the fermentation stopped at two days. This was also the case with the Evil Pilsner. I also made a Passion Fruit Hard Apple Cider and it was bubbling for 2+ weeks. The Pilsner turned out great but I'm just wondering about the yeast.

From the Brewdemon website:
DRY BREWING YEAST

Release the hounds of hell! OK, so maybe they are not actual hounds, but they do eat as ferociously as any hellhound we have had the pleasure to know. And unlike other hounds, these little beauties know just when to quit. Manufactured by Fermentis, this is the standard yeast that comes with all our malts (Safbrew S-33). It was chosen because it is a general purpose, widely-used ale yeast with low sedimentation properties. This is an extremely consistent strain, with excellent wort attenuation and a superb flavor profile. The Safbrew S-33 can produce beers with alcohol contents upwards of 11.5%abv.

When you say fermentation stopped, do you mean you are testing with a hydrometer and it never changes after 2 days, or just that the Krausen falls after 2 days?

If the Krausen - just because the Krausen falls does *not* mean fermentation is complete.

It is likely not done in 2 days. If you don't have a hydrometer wait at least 2 weeks. At the pitch rates provided, it might be done in 7-10 days depending on the OG (IE if it's a basic batch vs. a batch with a bunch of extra malt added), but you don't know if you don't have a hydrometer. So give it 2 weeks. At least.

How long the krausen lingers is a yeast specific thing, which is also affected by wort composition. But it doesn't have anything to do with whether the yeast is done or not.

With some yeasts like Wyeast 3787, you might have krausen for 3+ weeks before it falls. But the fermentation might actually be done long before that. It goes both ways.

Basically krausen means nothing in regards to "if it's done".

Same yeast that Mr Beer used before Coopers buyout. They were just less open about it.
