Hello Borg!
I haven't been posting much, bu I have been around a bit more lately, and, I wanted to let you guys know I brewed my first batch since March!!!
The wife and I were out messing around on Sunday and decided to check out the brew store. Well, while I was there I couldn't help but check some things out. I got a propane burner so I can brew in the garage and not bother the wife and a new fermentor. Well, we then saw a recipe for a hazel nut brown, and since it is almost fall and a beer both of us could enjoy I decided to get it. I was going to brew something different, maybe one of my recipes, but it didn't look like the LHBS had the hops, and I hadn't figured out the recipe yet so I just went for it, and we weren't busy that evening so I decided to just brew!
It felt pretty good to brew again, and even though I missed my target fermentor volume I think this will turn out good! I only ended up with 4 or so gallons, so I need to work on my BIAB techniques.
Other than that, the LHBS is great, the owner is real nice, and it's only about 5 minutes down the road!!
I am also keeping an eye on craigslist, because a kegerator is coming real soon. I have the money squirreled away, and a 1 keg kit, complete with CO2 tank is only $240.
