I want a logo

I was going through the "Show Me Your Labels" thread, and enjoying all the great images. There are some very creative ideas out there, and the execution of many of the labels is impressive. I use beerlabelizer.com, and am pleased with those options, since I like to keep it fairly simple. But as I went through the thread, I couldn't help notice that a number of people also have logos for their "breweries." I especially like Inkleg's Naked Cat logo, and Phil's Mr. Rufus Logo.

And I am jealous. I wish I had a graphic representation for Fedora Brauhaus; something simple, yet classy, which makes a statement; much like the headwear itself. But, alas, I am not a graphic artist, nor am I very good with computers and splicing images and whatnot. Not only that, I don't really have any ideas for how I'd like it to look. I just know I want a logo.

Something like this would be nice, but reworked for your image. Anyone with some artistic talent could rework this fairly easily.

I'm thinking a silhouette of the hat, maybe slightly stylized. Underneath it would say "Compliments of The Hat".

Hey Dave,

I dug up an old thread from a few years back, viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2249&start=15#p35080 where we had this same discussion.

If I can find the original file, I can dust it off, and maybe spruce it up some if you're still interested.

While I was brewing today, I thought a silhouette would work very well. I was picturing it in my mind as a sort of film noir silhouette; not even involving beer. Just the stark statement of a profile; similar to Left Handed Brewery's logo. The handprint is a pretty bold statement, and it sticks in the mind.

Only bummer is, the original on the web was pretty small., making enlargements very pixelated.

Yeah, that's more what I pictured in my mind's eye. I wouldn't say "no" to a drawn rendering similar to that. Even a more stark b/w rendering of it, which would show up better on labels and glasses and such.

To tell the truth, I don't even know how much I'd use it, although once I had it, I'd probably find ways to incorporate it.

Hmm, the "Noir" component kinda lends itself to dark, which as Dave points out, might make using as a label etc difficult, but heck, I'm having fun trying :)
