I'm not sure why you're the only one that this happens to and am at a total loss. Did I already ask you if you get this on any other computer?
I'll let Leigh know again.
Big sorry face.

I get that error randomly too. My post goes through though. I don't get duplicates unless I do a "back button and re-post" or a browser refresh. Instead I learned just to hit beer borg logo and go back and view new posts again, and my post is there and no duplicates.

When I mentioned it before others have expressed having the same experience. It is occurs randomly but not necessarily "frequently". Often enough that trying to post is a pain because it goes to a giant white error screen and the only way I know is to hit the back button to return to the Borg forum BUT you are right back at your post. If you hit "submit" again you are notified that you are posting a dupe - so give us a delete button, an escape button, a okay never mind button, I don't know but it leaves us trapped in the "posting box" with no way out but the back button.

This is a mess and has been going on for a VERY long time.

I've not seen the error and since it seems to be random it's not easy to track down. The file that the error is referring to

Code: Select all

./styles/art_black/template/bbcode.html
is the theme template for the dark/black back ground. Have you tried using the light template that is available in your profile settings? The only thing that I can think of right now is that the server is having trouble seeing that file consistently and throws the error if it doesn't find what it is looking for.

When it was happening before it seemed to go away on it's own (or no one was reporting it). Also I have updated the software I think since this was last becoming a problem so i thought that might have fixed it.

I will check with the hosting company and see if they might be able to shed some light on this. I do know that there is another update for the software that I will need to perform soon but I would like to make sure this is resolved first.

Since this is my "part time job" please be patient with me and I will do my best.

Thanks.

I use the light format, so I'll see if an error happens again and try to capture a screenshot.

It has happened to me a couple times in the past, and did just happen in the last week. I use the white background and it's happened on my Ipod, Ipad and desktop. But caught on to not submitting the post for a second time, since it has actually gone thru the first time. If I remember the next time it happens I'll try to get a screenshot to post for you Leigh.
