There was a member here who had a Kickstarter where users could upload and share recipes and buy ingredients in those quantities etc. he was fairly active here and I used to get emails from him. But I have not heard anything in a while and I can't find the posts or remember his user name.

Yeah I guess he didn't raise enough. Just went away and said nothing.

Were you thinking about the guy that went by betterbeerkits? He also had a business called kitlab.

He raised $5,691 of the $44,995 goal, across 132 backers, and therefore got no funding. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/99 ... great-brew

His kit was not bad but over priced. I think he disappeared.

Too bad. It seemed like a great idea. I liked the idea of picking or creating a recipe and buying it, getting the exact amounts. Not buying a whole pound of chocolate malt just for six ounces, etc.

I may be able to help with small quantity purchases of grain. My new startup business will sell 1 ounce of any grain for only 20 cents, and the shipping charge is a flat $14.95 for the first 8 ounces and only an additional $9.95 shipping for each additional 8 ounces.
