I learned to play guitar all because of the Beatles (I'm old!) and I still enjoy their music. There aren't many songs that I don't like by them. They've definitely influenced generations of musicians.
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be happy to know that I also moved on to Grand Funk, Sabbath, Zep, Aerosmith and my favorite, Pink Floyd.
Thanks for the memories professor.

Popular music would not be what it is today (for better or worse) without the influence of The Beatles. Their contribution to the musical scene of the past 50 years cannot be calculated. They were that rare bird: the sea change.
