I lost a close friend on Thursday night. He crashed in a racing accident at Lernerville Speedway here in Western Pa. I'm a lost soul right now. Why do all the terrible things always happen to the good people in this world? It's so hard to talk about it with family and friends here. I can't seem to keep my composure. Thought maybe I could look for some comfort from you all. Sorry to post about such a sad thing. My heart has been ripped out.

I'm so sorry for loss and wish I could offer you words of comfort but I am not able.

I lost a friend to cancer late this summer. She used to be among a close circle of friends. We had all but lost contact over the years and the guilt still hangs over my head. Your loss if far greater. I feel for you bud.

I'm sorry, Ray. I've been through the same thing, and I know how devastating it is, and how lost you feel. And I know there are no words that can help.

But if it helps you cope to use this thread to vent your feelings and sort through the tangle of your thoughts and emotions, there is no one here who will fault you. We are Borg, and we support our own.

Not sure why I posted this here but I thank you all for the kind words. It's very rough. Lost an uncle last winter but it was a little easier because it was expected. This is so very different. Bill was one of those people that never had a bad thing to say about anyone. The man had a heart of gold. He always cared about others more than himself. He was a wonderful soul.

We're here for each other. No matter what, we are one!
