Hey, boys and girls

I've been gone awhile...
Just didn't have the energy to post. Finally lost my miracle girl Ryley the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I've been so very sad but I am so grateful for the past three years while her brain tumor and eyeball tumor were in remission. She was so happy and felt so good then. It was a difficult decision to put her down but God made it very clear that it was time and couldn't wait. She started having seizures and soon they were happening every hour. The vet said her brain couldn't recover in between.
My Lili was so sad, so even though I wasn't quite ready, we added a sister this past Monday. Her name is Stella. Aka Wild Thing.
I don't love her yet, but I will. I'll post a photo when I can figure out how to resize the file.
Have surgery this coming Thursday. Benign tumor. Surgeon said I'll feel better before I'm fully healed, so I plan to spend a lot of time reading. Even after the Christmas present depletion, my pipeline should be in good shape. I planned ahead.

Hey Alb, sharing the same moment here so sending air hugs your way.
Just lost Jazzy because she got paralyzed again in her back legs and the docs said steroids wouldn't fix it this time. Our Westie was the "little sister" so we are really making sure she gets plenty of attention (distraction) and she is handling it better than I thought she would so far.
Remember that both you and Lili are grieving but Stella may not be so be patient with her if she is trying hard to be part of the family and has miss-steps along the way.
Don't feel that you need to "rush to love" her just focus on getting to know her personality and be accepting that she is in a brand new world and might be feeling some anxiety while really wanting to fit in and please.
Good luck with the surgery and hit the library to stock up and enjoy some good books.

I can tell by the tone of your post you have a heavy heart. I'm so sorry for your loss , they are part of the family and it hurts bad to lose them. Take heart in the new one, she wants to give you Joy and Comfort let her do her thing to help. I send my very best to you on your up coming surgery and hope for the best and expect nothing less. Please remember that we are here for your support and venting (if needed). Saw a post on here the other day that said they were wondering about you and where you were at, so remember even if you are unable to post you are thought of. Get Well Soon and hurry back to your Brewing Brother and Sisters with your many answers and the quick wit we all miss. Your well being is in our thoughts and Prayers.

This is an amazingly eloquent and beautiful post. And so very true, as well. John, you have my respect and gratitude for this lovely sentiment.
