I saw a tweet about this today as well as read the blog by BrewDog which discussed how they won't back down to AB or anyone else. There's still some that will fight.

Well, here's a legitimate question: Can they acquire craft breweries fast enough to stop the proliferation of craft breweries? Or is it like the hydra? Cut off one head, and two grow in its place.

Riddle me this, If all the craft breweries get bought up by the "BIG GUYZ" ,and control of OUR homebrewing supplies are restricted to their brands,( which I don't see happening)what is left? Drink their brands. Rely on local Brewpubs? Become a vintner? Make all Mead? My Dad told me while waiting in England to cross to Normandy, some fellows took all of the breakfast cereal, raisins, and sugar from the messhall, mixed them together with water and put them into a 5 gallon jerrycan(Military ppl will know what that is),and buried it in the ground for 21 days. When they dug it up and opened it they drank it and it was so strong it was a day or 2 after until they could report for duty. Let's hope we don't have to regress to that! Cheers

Fears are groundless, because if they buy enough craft breweries the anti-trust folks will step in.

They are under investigation already and were supposed to cease and desist for the time being, but they are ignoring the order allegedly!
