At the last tailgate for the season some members of our tailgate, The Elf Pack, including myself were inducted into the Tailgating Hall of Fame and received our Challenge Coins.

That's pretty cool!
Did you cause the coach to be fired?

Wish I had that kind of pull, but I think it was a mistake for Pettine to be fired. When the owner says we are going into this and build some continuity and two years in blow it up? But then again if the players had no respect for him as the head coach, then it had to happen. I wholly agree with the GM being canned though!

That's quite the gift!
It really is a shame. Manziel is a real talent if people would not care about his off the field stuff. And by "off the field" I mean enjoying himself and not really getting in trouble. I felt this year he was really good on and off the field but people made a huge deal out of him enjoying himself when he had time to do it. He performed really well when given a chance. He isn't out there doing drugs or beating up women. Let the kid have some fun if he does his job when asked to.
Back to the drawing board with the coaching staff.

Thanks Dan!! Actually Manziel, being in the NFL's concussion protocol, reported for Saturday mornings treatment and was to report Sunday morning with team doctors for the daily treatment but was actually in Las Vegas gambling! He has really overstayed his welcome as far as trust goes, and I agree he has the skill to play in the NFL, he just does not get it!

Yeah, the fact is his drinking has affected his ability to do his job in the NFL. Every time he enjoys himself with alcohol it’s a concern for his employers. And I don’t know, even if he showed up for his concussion treatments, I think it says a lot about his relationship with his teammates that he went to Vegas to gamble instead of sticking around to support them even though he couldn’t play. Just something distasteful about that, especially against the Steelers. Here’s a fun opinion:

Thanks Alb, that video pretty much sums it up! Although with a real Defensive Coordinator Sheldon has major potential.

That's a funny video alb....thanks. And I agree with you and Dawg. Even though you can't play, you should be there with the team. By him being in Vegas and not showing up for the Sunday morning concussion protocol just shows he doesn't care about the team.

Makes me wonder if they are actually using that as an excuse to keep him off the field and he knew it so he just said "F it" and went to Vegas. I agree though, I wouldn't want him on my team unless he got his demons under control more. He comes from money and it shows in his immaturity.
Appears the cowboys are going to have an interesting team next year with the likes of RGIII wanting to go there and Manziel also. LOL, I'm hoping they both go there so the Giants have a shot next year.

To be "fair" to Jonny, he would not be allowed on the sidelines with the team under concussion protocol, in or out of uniform. I also think they are not really supposed to fly with the team when under it. Pressure changes are bad for you head or something.
I suppose he could take a bus and sit in the stands somewhere.
That said, should not be flying to Vegas either if you are on the protocol. And you should show up for all required things like your check up.
I dunno, the kid is a dumbass emotionally/maturity wise it seems, but I think he could learn to play good NFL football, unless he does something so dumbass that he gets suspended. If he puts his mind to it.
Meanwhile, it seems the Browns have hired a new head coach.
