With gymrat getting into the world of conicals it seems others are taking note of their popularity.
The company I got both of my brew pots from is entering into that realm now.

I've been wanting a conical for a long time... but the reality is that I brew and bottle in the kitchen, but ferment in the basement, so I don't want to have to transfer wort/beer in and out of the conical via a "bucket transfer". I'll just stick with ale pails and better bottles for now... And they make pretty good beer too if I may say so

That is really nice. About $300 more than I paid. But it would be worth it if you didn't mind it.

I'd love one but space and keeping it cool in my area is just not going to happen.....not that I can see anyway. You certainly don't need these to brew good beers but I don't need a BMW to get to work either.

This is pretty much true. It is an extravagant toy. The biggest attraction to me was being able to push the beer out with CO2 instead of siphoning to a bucket, then having to lift that bucket up high enough to gavity feed my bottles. I am trying to eliminate as much of the lifting from my process as I possibly can.

Given since 2005 I have had 3 hernia surgeries and am now going to get a new hip, I need to either eliminate as much lifting as I can from my hobbie or eliminate my hobby. And I dont want to give up my hobby. Nor do I have any desire to go to smaller batches.

I'm hearing ya. I've had zero surgeries and I wake up sore. My problem is that I don't stretch before and after my exercise so I wake up sore. Plus, I'm old!

Sheesh. Easy solution. Brew on 2nd floor. Ferment on first floor. Bottle/keg in basement. Tubing between floors in pvc pipe, just drop it down.
