Wasn't sure where to put this but figured it is good even for the basic brewer. I bought this little tool to help me clean my carboys. I was sick of trying to use a wire brush to clean my carboy and twist and bend it in 20 different directions to try and get every bit of dirt.
Bought this carboy cleaner that you hook to a drill bit. Took me 1-2 minutes with the drill and it was spotless. Definitely a great little tool to add to your cleaning arsenal. I put a link here for it. I didn't buy it from there but the pricing isn't much different on other sites. I was placing an order on Northern and added it to that order.

Looks pretty neat. Have you tried it? Does it work as good as it looks like it works?

Yes, it took a little bit to get the hang of it....... like a minute. But after that it was quick and easy and worked great! I haven't had a glass carboy look that clean since I first bought it.

I love mine. They make a different sized one for kegs too, that works perfectly. A mistake I made with mine at first was not letting the “wings” get fully soaked in the cleaning liquid before I started the drill. They have little sponges in the end and need to be soaked and pliable.
They will wear out over time but replacements parts are available. You don’t have to buy a whole ‘nother unit.

I have one of those for bottles that works great...at least until I met PBW.

I tried a similar product, made by Third Coast Design Works, for beer bottles. Product ripped, company sent me another, it ripped also, so I returned it. Bottle brush also cleaned better.
For carboys a properly designed product would be great.
