Finally Brewed!

So as some of you are aware I have been dealing with a disc herniation in my neck, The last brew I was physically able to do was 9/5/15....Well I had my disc replacement surgery about 5 weeks ago and am doing great and was finally able to get a brew day in! The beer is sitting comfortably in the fermentation chamber, but it was not easy.
First of all my Morebeer order was delayed...stupid Fedex...hopefully the cooler temps keep the yeast ok since it will be sitting in a warehouse from Friday to Tomorrow... SO I had a make a run to the LHBS to pick up the missing supplies..Luckily they had what I needed, but I dislike buying yeast from them because everytime I have used their yeast i have fermentation issues...so not sure they take care of their yeast...
SO got everything going, the brew day was going great until I went to sparge and my pump crapped out on me....messed it with for a few minutes but had to give up and do the old manual sparge...lol got that all taken care of and was frantically trying to get my pump back working because I need to chill and clean my system(Luckily I do have a backup pump, but it was one without a full cord). Decided to just get the second pump set up since I was limited on time, found an old extension cord and wired up the new pump and redid all the connections...Once I got that fixed the rest of the brew day went well. I think I may have fixed my old pump as well, apparently it did not like the 4.5 month rest and needed a real good cleaning.
SO my Deschutes Fresh Squeezed clone is waiting to get to fermenting Excited to be able to brew again!
