As the greater Northeast braces for a full frontal assault by Jonas, how are you preparing for the onslaught?

In order of necessity:

Beer
Food
Batteries
Flashlights
Beer
Candles....

My wife and I went last night to avoid all the crazies....... they were already almost out of milk. People are insane. Worse case scenario is I use my brew stand to boil down some snow for water :)

I feel for you guys, I really do. We may not even hit the freezing mark but have had our share of rain and up and down weather.
The airports will be fracked for days and I'm already getting notices for FedEx and UPS that deliveries will be late.
I sure hope you guys don't lose power. Take care and be safe.
Remember, NO GENERATORS SHOULD RUN INDOORS!

I took advantage of the AIH free shipping sale to pick up a recipe for snow day brewing. If it makes it here.

I take weather forecasts with A Lot of Skepticism, the result of a lifetime sailing.
We'll see what the forecast looks like on Friday.

My truck is packed and we are heading into the mountains of WV for what we hope is an awesome ski trip. #1 goal is to "arrive alive" before the storm cranks up Friday morning.

We'll hunker down, ski all day Fri / Sat / Sun and let the WVDOT clear the roads for my drive home Sunday evening.

Stay safe everyone! And drink lots of beer!

Haha, I agree their Saturday afternoon forecast will probably be their most accurate too. I'll just allow myself to get caught up in the Snowmagopolypse excitement one more time, it's a break from the mundane if nothing else.

That sounds like a blast! Never hurts to disconnect and enjoy mother nature a bit. Although it may hurt me since I haven't been boarding in almost 2 years. Would be using muscles I haven't used it a bit which would lead to a lot of pain a few days after!

PS....... is it weird or crazy that I don't want to make another post since this post put me at 666?

School already cancelled tomorrow, and Friday isn't looking good. But, my order arrives tomorrow, so UPS says, so score one for planning!

Rabbitman that might be a sign, brew a badass IPA and call it 666 or triple 6, using six variety of hops. Come on just one more post and that number will be gone. I know you will give in to the temptation.... :)

I haven't been watching the weather channel, but is there a big one coming to the far East.............We got about 4 ft. snow since Sunday here in western NY. And this is normal for us, lake effect and winds. You might want to add a coleman lantern to your list and make sure you add more beer as already noted :)

Why is it that everybody goes out and buys milk, eggs and toilet paper when something like this happen. I swear, even people who are lactose intolerant and allergic to eggs buy milk and eggs. And they'll buy toilet paper even if they went to Costco a week ago and bought several Costco sized packages.

And think about it. If the power goes out, do you really want a bunch of eggs sitting around and spoiling?
