How to Make Almost Any Craft Beer Taste Better

Drink a Bud Light first. I'm not trying to be a beer snob, but I had this experience last week. I went bowling with some friends and neighbors. (About my second time in twenty years. I didn't finish last, or hurt myself.) The first guy went to the bar and brought back a pitcher of Bud Light. Of course I drank it, though after IPAs it seems like club soda. The next guy brought back a pitcher of Blue Point Toasted. I used to drink it regularly, and I still do if it's a choice between BMC or Blue Point. I put Sam Adams in the same class: a good fallback in the absence of micros. Wow, after the BL, the Blue Point really shone -more body, more flavor, I could taste the crystal and hops.
I'm going to keep some light beer around to improve my homebrew!
