Yeah, the playing field is definitely not level there. Good points made by McLaughlin. This legislation, it seems to me, would benefit the local breweries as well as the state's economy. They're shooting themselves in the foot if they don't change things.

I know VA has a decent cost to register each beer that is produced for breweries and tap rooms. Some of the ones I frequent don't follow that most of the time because if they aren't packaging for sale somewhere else why pay the $500 to register it, especially if it is something that may not appeal and only be made 1-2 times.
