Do you name your stuff?
I name a lot of my stuff. For example, my car is Liz, my truck is Wilma. My GPS is Kelly, the Big Green Eggs are Bruce and Olivia. Since beer is such a lovely, living thing, it came naturally to give my equipment the dignity of names. My WilliamsWarn is named Trixie, and my Zymatic is named Lola. The bottler is Hank.
So, what do you call your stuff?

My Mustang is the Ghost Stang
I found a site where I could have that custom made
My Buick is Old Red
And my basement is, of course, Mancave.
My guitar is Clarissa, I don't know why that name came to mind. She has an hour glass figure, long slender neck, and like any woman, plenty of strings attached. We have been spending our evenings together since my retirement. I pull her strings and she sings to me.

Gymrat, you got it bad! (And why does auto correct keep changing your name to “Gyrate"? Hmmm?)
Yeah, I don’t know why but I’ve heard that before...RickBeer wrote:No, I don't.

Re: Do you name your stuff?
As much as I have fun coming up with creative names for my beer recipes, I actually don't name my kettles or my car, or my smoker and stuff. It just never occurred to me to do so.

At Wicked Weed they name all of their stuff. All the fermenters have names, even the bottling line is named Robo Jason.
These two are named Ike and Tina because when the were being moved Ike "bashed" Tina and left a dent.

I have an acoustic guitar named 'Marta', a car I call 'The Fit' and a garage I call 'The Brewroom'. Oh yeah and a Mr. Beer circa 2010 hydrometer that I call 'old faithful'.

I name people and pets, but not things. I've never been attached to things enough to name them, I guess.

I just name my ales after the hops. "Simcoe IPA" ...
