hard cider flavoring

Post by dragonfly+ »

I am getting ready to bottle 2 gallons of hard cider. I am going to use some LuAnn flavoring to make green apple and watermelon flavor and I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and how much flavor I need per gallon? I thought I would start at a tablespoon or so....

I have with beer, and let me say "STOP!".

There is no reason to flavor the beer YET.

I got about 10 LuAnn flavors (the small bottles) and their eye droppers and I add a drop or two TO THE GLASS before pouring the wheat beer. That way you can flavor to taste and not do an entire batch. If you do this, make sure you do NOT store the dropper in the bottle as the flavor fumes will eat away the rubber over time.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...
