Pat Conroy had died
Not really much into books and/or authors but I really, really enjoyed practically each and every Pat Conroy book. It sometimes felt as though he wrote the same book over and over at times. They were all heart wrenching and tragic in some way. Weirdly, I have really become fascinated with the Carolina low country through his writings.
Re: Pat Conroy had died
I haven't read any, but I've seen a couple of movies. I've been in the Low Country, mostly passing through by boat. The SE coast between Florida and the Chesapeake is beautiful, often remote.
I sometimes see repetitive themes in authors. Robert Parker's characters relived his personal life in every book. John Grisham's young lawyers follow a similar path in many of his books.
