They got at least one fact wrong. They said that the new beer was only 3.2% alcohol by volume. The whole 3.2 thing (that still exists in some states) goes back to those days and it's a farce and an intentional misrepresentation. When they loosened prohibition, they loosened it to allow beer that was considered nonintoxicating. 3.2% ABW is about the same as 4% ABV. Even though ABV is used everywhere, since 3.2 is smaller than 4, the laws to allow weak beer were written using 3.2 ABW.

The new beer wasn't 3.2% ABV. It was 4% ABV.

And it doesn't matter whether you use 3.2% ABW or 4% ABV. If you drink enough, you can get intoxicated.
