Chill Now? Or Wait?

I'm stocking my pipeline. I've brewed 3 batches in the last two weeks. APA and 2 BPAs, the APA is 11# two row, .75# Munich and C40, OG 1.052, US05 yeast. It's been in the fermenter since the 21st, I figure to give it two weeks total. The Belgians mentioned elsewhere are 10.5# Pilsner, 5# two row, 1.25# Caramunich .4# biscuit in 7.5 gallons. Split into two batches, one 1.055 with WLP530, and one 1.060 with Safbrew Abbaye. I'm going next week away for a couple of weeks. The Abbaye appears done, the APA should be soon. I would like to have something on tap when I come home, but of course I want it to be ready. I will keg the APA and Abbaye before leaving. Should I charge and chill them? Just one? Or warm condition? What would you do and why?

Honestly I wish I had your problem, too many beers, not enough time. If it were me I'd keg them, carb them and drink them as soon as I got home. Enjoy your two weeks away from it all.

Be careful what you wish for. I've only brewed this much because I'm out. Kegs are empty, only some bottles of Dubbel and Belgian Strong around. I actually bought beer! :x

No problem I feel your pain as I sit here with a sixer of Kona's Castaway IPA in the refrigerator. Managing a pipeline is always both a challenge and a juggling act.

Kegged them both just now. Kegging two in a row saves set up time, but can be a little anxious. I did not re-sanitize the auto-siphon between batches. I did make sure I kegged the US05 before the Abbaye, as the Abbaye is stronger yeast. Though it shouldn't matter in the fridge.

John, I kegged 2 beers Saturday, though the same kind and didn't sanitize the siphon between kegs and guess what, they exploded. :oops:
As mentioned by 2 beer gods already, and just for reinforcement, it's all good. Drink beer and be hoppy!

Kegs exploded? Corney kegs? The reeked valves are rated at something over 100 PSI, so I'd think the kegs should hold far more than that. And I'd think some other part would give first.

I was joking with John for not sanitizing his siphon between kegs. The only thing that exploded was my mind and still, nothing was lost. :)

My pin lock cornys are rated to 130 p.s.i. and I think the release valves open between 100-115 p.s.i. or something like that.

F.Y.I.: I never put more than 30 ish p.s.i. in mine...

I recently did something similar. I had a 2.5g batch that was ready to put in the keglet, but I wanted to keep the space for the third keg open for when I had a fiver. So I kegged the small batch, ramped the psi up to about 30, charged it for a few minutes, then put it downstairs in the lager fridge. Now I've got three fivers in the keezer (drawing on two), and when one of those kicks it, I'll change the beer line to the third keg, bring the keglet up and hook it to the gas, and keep the rotation going. Don't know if I can sustain this kind of rotation indefinitely, but it's a good feeling to have kegged beer at the ready.
