OK, so every time I have a failure to carbonate or do 96 bottles in a weekend I get back to the kegging idea.
Well, I'm there again.

So who routinely seems to have the best packages for starter kits? I'm thinking dual regulator and 2 kegs to start.

Thanks for the help!

When I got into kegging, I went to Kegconnection.com. Here is a quick link to one of their two keg settups. You'll have to play with the options at the bottom to get to your final price. And their customer service/sales is great to work with. This is the option I started with, added on a Taprite dual regulator, two kegs, CO2 tank and some additional beer line among other items.

No help, sorry. I bought most of my stuff locally or on Craigslist with the exception of my regulator.

Best of luck on the move to kegging!

I think kegconnection for sure for the set up. That's where I got mine too. I got kegs themselves from AIH on a sale, but kegconnection had matched them a few weeks ago.

Another vote for Kegconnection here too! I got my set up from them and it's still running great. You might look around and find lower prices, but when it comes to the same piece of equipment, their prices can't be beat and service after the sale is top notch. When I say same equipment, TapRite and Chudnow are the best regulators out there and everything else they carry are along those lines.
Every now and then they run sales. What's the next holiday coming up?

You will LOVE kegging!

I've bought from a number of companies with great luck....but I've used kegconnection the most with birdmanbrewing second (though his keg prices are only good about once a year).

Thanks for the Kegconnection link (with recommendations). I have been mulling over starting to keg and interested in 2.5 gallon keg to start due to space. I just ordered a one tap kit with 2.5 gallon keg. Realisticly, don't you need to have 2 co2 tanks on hand? Wish you luck with kegging too, EFBell351.

I think it's a good idea to have 2 on hand (I've got 3,but that's kind of an accident). That way, when the one in your kegerator runs out, you can hook up the other one and not be out of beer while getting it filled.

If you're looking for deals on kegs, I recently posted about a sale at Austin Homebrew. The prices look kind of high to me, but I got all of my kegs before prices started going up (the first couple of kegs I bought only cost $17).

If you sign up for email alerts, Midwest sometimes has deals on untested kegs (the last one I got in on was 4 for $100). They had a sale like that in March, but it only lasted about an hour before they were all sold out.

once again something gets in my way... Boiler "Gun" took a crap and had to get a new one to the tune of 1,400 bucks... At least we have hot water LOL
So needless to say kegging is on hold for a while (Again). :orderbeer:

Anyway thanks for the tips and I'll be watching the sales... May need to start small but as soon as I can justify it I'm going in!

Thanks guys!

Regards, Ed B.

Yippee... I finally went ahead got myself a basic outfit with a new keg. Just a single unit for now but it's a start. I have a stout that's ready to go... Now I just need to study up a little bit on carbonation pressures and such...
