An...Adventure?

I was going to post this in the I deserve a homebrew thread but I couldn't find it. So...on my way home tonight my van (got a KIA Sedona) started to fishtail at 70(WTF?). Now I'm not a man given to panic, but I won't deny there was a big ole adrenalin dump, heart sped up and the "speed in my veins" really made it hard to preform the light and subtle moves needed at high speeds to regain control. While heading for the side of the rd. it finally occurred to me that it's acting like a blow out (it was). After a brief conversation with my maker on the side of the rd., I got out and proceeded to do what needed done. I need a homebrew but it's going to be at least a week before any are ready. So I'm drinking commercial.

So glad you're ok. Yes, that will wake you up a bit and give you all the high you need for a while.
But now, a store bought beer will have to do!

Likewise glad that you are alright. Funny how one can have time to figure things out in an emergency.

Not and adventure I want to have. I'd rather have a homebrew.

But I'm glad you are ok.

Yikes! Buy some new underwear too!

I check tires and fluids on the first of every month, helps me catch problems before they happen, although TPMS helps catch things on the newer vehicles.

Good job Jim, things like that are not fun!!! Blowouts @ speed give no pre-indication with tire pressure when there is something picked up from the road. I know how that adrenaline starts pumping when something like that happens. It's even worse when you hit that patch of ice on the highway and start going around, I was staring down a tractor trailer's headlights and the car decided to go another 180, switch lanes and go straight. Sitting a little higher in the seat after that one.
