Nelson Sauvin hops

I've used this hop only in very late and dry hop additions and like what it's brought to the beer, especially when mixed with Citra or Chinook. I'm thinking of doing a pale ale and adding this a bit earlier (20 minutes) and have read that some people get odd flavors when doing so. Since I've never used it any sooner than 5 minutes, I'm curious if anyone can tell what they got when using NS at earlier drops.
My early recipe has 1 oz at 20 and 3 oz at 5 minutes, with a small FWH of Chinook (.5 oz) then some Chinook and NS dry hopped. I may do a steep as well.
Thoughts, feelings, arguments?????

I have used NS as early as @ 30, I have paired NS with Amarillo, flavor and aroma is fantastic.

I've only used them in one recipe, a saison. I used them at 20 and 10 minutes. I like this recipe a lot and get a great, white grape flavor and aroma out of them. Almost like a wine for me. I bittered with falconers flight, so could't tell you what adding earlier would do. Good luck.

I'm wanting to get more of a tropical flavor out of it which is why I don't want to bitterveith it.
I definitely get wine grapes from the few I've brewed so far. Enjoyable and different. But I'm going to use some light crystal and wheat in this one.

I love them at 20, 10, 5, flameout, whirlpool/hopstand, dry hop.
Never tried to use them as a pure bittering hop in a long boil. Seems to me a waste of good hops.
That plum saison I made with them is one of the best beers I've made this year. Their flavor mixed with the plum juice and saison yeast incredibly well.

I've used it as the primary hop in my pale ale for years now and never had a "weird" flavor from it. I only used Magnum as bittering because, as mashani put it, that seemed like a waste of good hops. I've used them at 30, 20, 15, 10, 5 and hopstands with no issues at all.
Use them freely, sir!

Me thinks I'm going with NS and Amarillo on the next one. Don't know yet if I'll do a bittering addition of anything but might. That's the great thing about having so many hops in the freezer and brewing your own beer. I can, just like a little kid, change my mind over and over and over again.
