I'm an idiot!

Brewed 11 gallons of Drop Kick Nate today and was going to do a half 001, half 007 ferment. As I was attempting to get the strap around my Big Mouth Bubbler, my wet hands let go of the fermenter and I lost about 1 1/2 gallons. I thought I lost more but out of 11 gallons, I should still get close to 9 so I guess I will survive.
RedBEERd was more upset than I was. I could only laugh at my stupidity.
Now I have to brew more beer!
But, we had a rare 68 degree December day so I'm 1000% happy.
Merry Christmas Borg!

Yes, but spilling beer has nothing to do with it.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Spilled outside, I hope.
Not to add insult, but spilling beer makes you a klutz, not an idiot.

Yes, outside.
But it's chugging along fine today and smells good. I'm sure that it only added more aeration when it spilled.

Oh man did you lob up a beachball! But I will bite my tongue on you being an idiot
........ That does suck though, at least it wasn't a broken glass carboy.

The way I see it is you got lucky. If that was actually finished beer you would be an idiot, but unfermented wort is just what what it is. I bet in the future you get handles for the carboy

It actually was the carrying straps that I was trying to fit under the carboy that caused the problem. I had forgotten to put them on before filling it. See, I am an idiot!

Well I really should know what an idiot looks like because I have a big mirror that I look into each morning.
