I'm surprised NOLA is in the top 25 but we do seem to have the cheapest price per pint.
We do everything different but 2017 is looking up for 6 (I think) new micros to open in the area.

I was in Portland, Maine in July of '15, that was another place where I barely scratched the surface of the beer scene, and in 34 days a few of us will be in the #1 city for beer enthusiasts!

You are always welcome to join us in Asheville! But don't tell that funny looking twin brother about it!

Hey, don't make me lock this thread and ban you!

One has to wonder when we'll see a slow down of all the new brewery starts. I've been reading for months that the failures are increasing and that if you are coming into this game now, you'd better be prepared to be big, do something different and stand out as well as make great beers. Niches are falling and it's the next guy up mentality so we'll see how this affects the new guys soon.
But, in our area, we are always years behind the country and somehow, buck many trends.
