Little of this! Little of that?
Brewed this one with a few purposes in mind. First I wanted to test out my new counter flow wort chiller. Second I wanted to use up the ingredients I had leftover from previous brews. Took inventory and whipped up this recipe in about 20 minutes. I had no care for how the beer turned out. I wanted to try the chiller was my main objective. I also didn't want or have time to go to the LHBS. I figured throw in the base malts I had along with some specialty grains that could possibly fit and then hop the crap out of it. IPA?
Some of the hops were in the freezer for a very long time. I wasn't sure what I would get from them so I used the oldest of them for whirlpool hops.
I brewed this on Jan. 8th, fermented for 3 weeks and kegged it on Jan. 30th. I gave the hydro sample a taste. For a brew that I thought may be a dumper, it had a good taste, nice color and smelled hoppy good. We will see!

All Grain (5.50 gal) ABV: 6.84 %
OG: 1.066 SG FG: 1.014 SG
IBUs: 66.4 IBUs Color: 7.9 SRM

8.0 oz - Rice Hulls (Briess) Mash addition (3.6%) - 0.0 SRM
6 lb 8.0 oz - Pale Malt (6 Row) US Mash addition (46.6%) - 2.0 SRM
4 lb - Pale Malt (2 Row) US Mash addition (28.7%) - 2.0 SRM
1 lb 8.0 oz - Cara-Pils/Dextrine Mash addition (10.7%) - 2.0 SRM
8.0 oz - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L Mash addition (3.6%) - 60.0 SRM
8.0 oz - Carared Mash addition (3.6%) - 20.0 SRM
7.4 oz - Munich Malt - 10L Mash addition (3.3%) - 10.0 SRM
0.75 oz - Magnum Boil 60 min (28.8 IBUs)
1.00 oz - Cascade Boil 15 min (10.7 IBUs)
0.50 oz - Amarillo Boil 15 min (6.3 IBUs)
1.00 Items - Whirlfloc Tablet Boil 15 min
1.00 oz - Cascade Steep 15 min (5.5 IBUs)
1.00 oz - Sorachi Ace Steep 15 min (9.2 IBUs)
0.50 oz - Amarillo Steep 15 min (3.6 IBUs)
0.25 oz - Magnus Steep 15 min (2.3 IBUs)
2 pkg - Safale American DCL/Fermentis #US-05
Mash @ 152 for 75 min. 10 min mash out
Boil 60 min.
