Star San in Tap Line

I am in the process of cleaning and sanitizing a keg for storage until it can be filled. I ran star san through the dip tube and into the tap line to sanitize that also.
Just thinking about storing the tap line with the star san in it. Do any of you see any thing wrong with this? Or should I just let it drain out and store it with the tap closed (which is what I normally do)?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it but I drain mine and keep it clear.
I think I read somewhere that it can harm some plastics with long periods of storage. Check HBT and search as I'm pretty sure I read that there.

Right. It will over time harm plastics.

Agreed, drain it. I know that my blowoff tube gets a little slimy after sitting in Star San for 5-7 days so I wouldn't want that in/on my tap lines.
I run Star San through my keg and lines when they kick, too. After coating the keg inside I leave just enough in it (a couple of cups) to push out through my taps. When it starts to blow air (emptying what is in the keg) then I let it run for a few more seconds before shutting off.
It's worked for me to keep my lines clean without issue.

Thanks. I always drained mine too, but just thought I would ask to see why others do and why!

I rarely use star San in my taps but use a cleaner made for taps that works well and doesn't harm anything.
It works for me.
